Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and sometimes finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

I like this piece. Can I have mine with a small shot of Ciroc?

Indeed! It sounds delicious.

I actually had to look up Ciroc (I don't get out much). Although it's called a vodka it sounds more like brandy or cognac since it's made from grapes.

BTW, some historical iced tea "punch" recipes used green tea, with added claret or champagne, and cream.

Diana, I usually don't care for compositions that sever the main subject off the picture plane. This painting is an exception to that rule. Nice balance. I like the way the stem of the maraschino continues the curve of the glass. The sweat on the glass is perfect. However, if you're pouring, make mine a Laphoaig on the rocks.

Thank you for your interesting comments, Mark. I'm glad you like this one, in spite of the close cropping of the subject.

This is partly due to the small size of the painting and my desire to focus on the details I felt were most important. (Although I've been departing a bit lately from my tighter work, this piece just wouldn't have come off without a bit of tightness.)

If you're visiting, I'll have to get a bottle of the Laphoaig to pour you a glass!
