Our electricity went out again, but this time not for very long. When it goes out, we don't know when power will be restored. It could be days if the electric company workers have to snowshoe in to remote locations to find the problem. With all the snow, and now warmer weather, heavy fallen branches on power lines are likely culprits.
So, it feels like quite a luxury to use a hair dryer and a coffee maker now... and an electric light source on a still life. I couldn't resist this empty coffee sack.. another reflective gold thing. This was quite different than the gold paper, especially with those orange reflections from the drape.
Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and often finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

You are SO upbeat! Of course, when the 'tricity is off, so is the vacuum...the washer/dryer...think positive!
Love the foil and bronzy papers you've been doing. I'll have to see if I can qualify for a free painting...
Good point! I'm sure I needed a break from time in the laundry room.
So glad you like the gold papers, etc. Funny how sometimes a certain material or challenge will stay on one's mind!
Just keep watching this blog for a chance to win a little 'un and follow instructions when I make the announcement. No other qualifications required.
I like the gold items a lot. There are such great color reflections on the coffee sack.
Yes, Dar, the gold foil really reflected a lot of the surrounding color. Thanks for dropping by.
