Our model had fixed her hair in a 1940's style 'do, which lent a vintage feel to my studies. These drawings are the pick of the litter from this week's model session.
Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint most weekdays and hope you enjoy these small daily works. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

Very nice, Diana.
I always appreciate the kind and encouraging remarks, Bill. Thanks for dropping by.
Beautiful drawings!
Mike
Glad to hear you think so, Mike. I'm so glad this group can get together every week with a model. The figure studies are wonderful practice, which informs my other work, as well.
Beautiful work Diana...I used to do a ton of work from models in college...maybe I should find a class and start up again.
College was my first opportunity to draw from the nude, too, although there was no instruction for drawing at OU when I was there. However, the figure (as the rest of God's creation) was a good teacher.
I am Costarrican and started painting classes 1 month ago... I love your charcoal paintings... they really inspire me!
Thank you!
Thanks for dropping by Priscilla. Happy drawing!
You do great figure drawing.
Thank you, Mary. I do love the figure, so I'm glad it shows.
