Original unframed oil painting, 5"x7".

A glass of wine on occasion is an enjoyable health benefit. It also looks interesting with the green lawn as a backdrop and the blue sky reflected in the burgundy depths.
This jewel is for my upcoming ArtWalk show in Sandpoint at the Coldwater Creek Wine Bar.
Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and often finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

luscious!!
I can almost taste this!
The reflections and the colors are nice!!
Those reflections were my main inspiration for this one. I'm glad they spoke to you too.
I really like this piece. The background and the wine make a great design.
You are very kind, Bill. I liked those Christmas colors and contrasting textures and had a lot of fun painting this.
Beautifully painted, Diana. Glass is so tough to paint, I think, but this is lovely. The reflections in the wine are great!
Connie, thank you! I think glass is an interesting challenge to paint because there is so little of the glass itself that is seen. It is a few edges of the form, the reflections on it, and what shows through it that defines it.
