As I mentioned yesterday, I wanted to paint something a little different for the self-portrait July Challenge. It was fun to put the spin on it with the little toy figures.
Some of my works are auto-biographical, and I've used myself as a model through the years, as well as painted outright self-portraits. Perhaps you'd like to see some. This one shown at left dates back 13 years.

Here are links to others on my blog:
"Studebaker Self-Portrait" from May, 2008
"Reflection" from July 2007
"Self-Portrait" from March 2007
One of these days I'll try to locate a pastel self-portrait I did back in high school, just for comparison. It's stored around here somewhere, probably in my flat files!
Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and often finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

Lovely painting of a beautiful woman!
You're too kind, Bill.
Wonderful self portrait Diana, is not easy to paint ourselves and to be objetive, you got it.
hugs.

Thanks, Alex. I think the older we get, the harder it is to show all the wrinkles and sagging flesh. Or maybe I just need my glasses to see it all now.
