These are a range of longer poses using the charcoal and chalk again, and also soft graphite stick. The graphite has a completely different feel on the paper than the charcoal. It's very "slippery" and glides easily over the surface. Although it's not as black as the charcoal, or as forgiving, I like it a lot.

Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and often finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

I've been so enjoying your figure studies - just wonderful! They're making me want to get back into figures again!
Wonderful studies Diana! We are coming up your way this weekend...your schedule sure looks busy, which is a good thing! :)
Thanks for the nice comment on my photos!
Good luck with your workshops and demos!
David
Thank you, Jane. I believe working from the figure is helpful and informs other work I do too. It's great practice, besides.
Yes, David, busy is good and I probably wouldn't have it any other way... except maybe once in awhile for winding down and recharging the batteries. Thanks for your nice comments!
Very nice drawings. Looks like you are having fun.
Thanks, Bill. I do enjoy working with the figure and feel there is much benefit from doing these studies, as it informs other work.
