The sunflowers I got last weekend are past their prime, but still interesting. Although I was tired from a busy weekend and didn't feel motivated to paint today, I thought I'd make a little portrait of this aged flower as a warm-up. At times like that, it is good to just put something down even if I'm not all that inspired. Results can be surprising.
