Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and often finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

Besides being an outstanding model, this petite muscular woman is a tanner and leatherworker. Ever resourceful, she processes hides that deer hunters don't want. The tanning takes time and strength, and she stays especially busy this time of year.

Thank you for saying so, Teresa. It's nice to know these qualities come through.

It is not often I find an artist who can render the human form with such intimacy and sense of vitality. Beautifully done, Diana.

Cyndy, thank you. I'm delighted to read your comments.

To say I love the figure is a bit simplistic, because it is more than that. A deep respect for the person I'm painting, awe for the way God made us, and a fascination for the beauty of the human form all enter into the inspiration to paint or draw someone.
