One of the events this past week was another surgery on my ankle, to take out metal. Last spring when my doc put both of my broken ankle bones back together he installed a titanium plate and screws on the lateral side, and pins and wires on the medial side to hold the pieces together while they healed.
This is the plate that was removed, along with the screws. Not much was left of the pins and wires because they had to be cut to be removed. I'm so glad to have all that metal out now. It seems a bit odd that I want to keep this hardware but maybe I'll make something out of it.. earrings perhaps.
Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and often finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

I can see you painting this then telling your husband to get busy and use them to fix something.
Haha... if only that would work.
