Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and sometimes finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

Sleeping Model Studies in Charcoal and Chalk

These longer poses on dark paper seem very sleepy to me, probably because the model was napping. I think most of us who were drawing hated to wake him up when the pose time was over.

You can let me know if you'd like to own these charcoal and chalk studies, approximately 11x17"; $65 plus S&H.

Diana, these are simply stunning! Both are amazing! I love your play of dark and light. Beautiful.

It's an interesting and fun challenge to bring up the lights on the dark background, working backward from the way I usually draw!

As always...wonderful work - and very simple, but so full of emotion!
