"Dark Red Apple" Still Life Daily Painting

After painting the limited strokes apples, it was very satisfying to add more substance and detail in this simple little painting!

I can imagine your frustration doing the limited strokes because your realism is masterful! Still, I guess all these exercises build on each other...

You're right, Jane. I wanted to keep going on the little warm-ups to make them more finished, which is why I just HAD to do this one!

Sketches in oil are good too, though. I enjoy trying to capture a subject quickly and efficiently, so it's all good.
