Welcome to my Art Blog! I paint or draw most weekdays and often finish a painting a day. I fondly call them my "Postcards from Paradise" because it's such a beautiful place the Lord made here for us.

Charcoal and chalk on Canson paper

It is difficult to do very detailed studies of hands and feet when they are small in a drawing, so here is a focus on legs and feet for this one.
I read years ago that Pearlstein painted most of his nudes quite large so that he could concentrate on showing the hands and feet. I first saw his work at the Wichita Art Museum in the early 70s. He has been a favorite since then.
